1. Changing the IGNOU Programme

– For Bachelor’s Degree Courses: Changes between BA, BCom, BTS, BSW, and BSc are allowed within 30 days from the last date of applying for admission.

– Payment: Rs. 600 plus Rs. 350 per 2 or 4 credit courses, or Rs. 700 per 6 or 8 credit course.

– For changing to BTS/BSW from BA/BCom, an additional fee difference of Rs. 500 is required. No change to BSc is allowed.

2. Changing the IGNOU Course:

– Changes in subjects/electives are allowed within 30 days from receiving the first set of study material.

– Payment: Rs. 350 per 2 or 4 credit courses, or Rs. 700 per 6 or 8 credit courses for undergraduate courses.

– For Master Degree Courses, it’s Rs. 600 per 2 or 4 credit courses, or Rs. 1200 per 6 or 8 credit courses.

3. Changing the Medium of Instruction:

– Medium change is permitted within the first year and within 30 days from receiving the first set of study materials. Jii

Application Process:

– Fill the IGNOU Subject & Medium Change Form available for download.

– Carefully complete the form, ensuring all details are accurate.

– Make a Demand Draft (DD) in favor of IGNOU payable at the relevant Regional Centre.

– Submit the application form along with the DD to the concerned IGNOU Regional Centre.

Tracking the Change Status:

– Once submitted, track the status on the IGNOU Admission Status page.

– After entering your enrollment number, locate your request for change on the left side of the admission status page.

– You’ll see your current status, whether the change has been accepted by the regional centre or not.
